M R I (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) : MAGNETOM Verio 3T
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) provides detailed images of the body in any plane. MRI technique primarily used in Radiology to visualize the structure and function of the body. MRI especially useful in neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and oncological imaging.
MRI uses no ionizing radiosation, but uses a powerful magnetic field to align the nuclear magnetization of (usually) hydrogen atoms in water in the body. Radiofrequency fields are used to systematically alter the alignment of this magnetization, causing the hydrogen nuclei to produce a rotating magnetic field detectable by the scanner. This signal can be manipulated by additional magnetic fields to build up enough information to reconstruct an image of the body.

The following information will provide you with more technical details about MRI : MAGNETOM Verio 3T.

Examples are:
Phoenix and PhoenixZIP, AutoAlign, Inline Technology
Syngo is the common software platform for all imaging modalities. Enhanced productivity with minimized user interactions per operation step. Based on a powerful Pentium 4 / approx. 3 GHz Panoramic Recon Image Processor reconstructing up to 8694 images per second (256 x 256, 25% recFoV) in combination with a Pentium 4 based Host Computer with two CPU's / approx. 3 GHz and 4 GB RAM capacity.
